The Sunflour Bread Company offers a menu featuring home cooking and baking straight from the heartland. Located in Thayer, Kansas just off of Highway 169, The Sunflour Bread Company boasts of homemade breads, pies, cakes and down home “real” mashed potatoes and gravy along with whole muscle hand-breaded meats and fresh cut steaks from the local meat market, Mama C's.
What better way to start your day than with hot, homemade buttermilk biscuits dressed with nationally recognized, locally produced, prize-winning honey from Tuckerbee's Honey, unless it is those same feather-weight biscuits smothered with their famous sausage gravy. If you like omelets, then this is where you want to come. You can have yours specially made with your choice of cheeses, meats and vegetables. Plate-sized pancakes or French toast from your choice of homemade breads help round out the breakfast menu.
If you can't make it for breakfast, then stop in for lunch or supper. Our famous chicken fried steaks, chicken fried chicken and pork tenderloins are all fixed up fresh to order. If mashed potatoes and gravy are your favorite, you won't be disappointed here. These are fixed with “real” potatoes and homemade, never-a-mix gravy. Do you like liver and onions but not everyone in your family does…we do liver right!!! All meals are served with a mini-loaf of fresh homemade bread. |

Mile-high meringue pies – coconut, chocolate, banana, lemon, peanut butter, butterscotch, pineapple, raisin cream – or fresh fruit – gooseberry, rhubarb, blackberry, apple, cherry, peach, raisin, blueberry – round out the menu. Made fresh daily, special orders and requests accepted.
Diabetic? We feature no-added sugar pies of apple, cherry, chocolate, or banana…
We offer catering and custom baking. Wedding and special occasion cakes are baked to your specifications. Big or small, we can do them all.
Homemade donuts, bear claws, long johns and apple fritters on the weekends give everyone a special treat. Fresh baked cookies are made daily. The giant cinnamon rolls are like no others.

The Sunflour Bread Company is open seven days a week at 6:00 a.m. , closing at 8:00 p.m. every day except Sunday when the door closes at 2:00 p.m.
